Name: Vincent Nightray
Gender: Male
Age: 23 ( This isn't his real age, though, as when Oz said Gilbert would be a year younger than him, he claimed "Since Gil is 24, then I'll be 23!" )
Description:
- - Hair Color : Golden blond.
- - Eye Color : His left eye is golden while his right is wine red.
- - Body Build : He is fairly fit, but still on the skinny side. He is also 177 cm ( 5'8" ) in height.
- - Complexion : Fair skinned but still a little on the pale side.
Apparel:
- - Normal : When Vincent isn't at Pandora, he generally wears a black, long-sleeved coat like outfit that goes down to his ankles with a pair of black pants, obviously, underneath it. Along with that, he wears a pair of black boots with golden tips and a pair of white gloves. To add on to his outfit, he wears a white under clothe that can be seen at the bottom of his outfit and at the edge of his sleeves.
- - Pandora : Much like the other members of Pandora, he wears the same outfit. This consists of a black coat with silver shoulder clothe that goes to their ankles with black pants underneath. He also wears black boots with silver tips. It's rare that he wears this outfit, though, as he only wears it when going to Pandora HQ.
- - Formal : When his foster parents host parties, he generally dresses up in a similar outfit to the one he wears on a normal basis. To add to his outfit, he puts on a short, black caped clothe and pulls his hair back into a pony tail. Regardless, not much else changes from the outfit.
- - Earrings : Adding to the outfits he wears, he also wears red earrings that dangle.
Skills/Weapons:
- - Guns : Vincent is skilled at shooting guns, as shown when Gilbert was training with one of his guns. He had asked if he could give it a try, and upon shooting at the target nailed each shot with flying colors. It's also shown that he has a gun of his own when he shoots Phillip's father in order to "save a child from a dangerous illegal contractor."
- - Chain : Vincent's chain is the Dormouse. It's a mouse that is constantly curled up and sleeping and floats above his head, generally. His eyes are sewn shut, and Vincent said ( though he claims it as a joke ) that when the eyes open up it becomes a vicious monster. When Vincent isn’t able to control his chain, the effects of the Dormouse transfer to him and he falls asleep, whether he be sitting, standing, or walking down the hall. This is when Echo takes care of him and makes sure he's resting in a proper place other than the middle off the hallway.
- - Scissors : Regardless if this is a skill or not, he can efficiently cut up anything stuffed, but likes to cut up stuffed rabbits the most. He can also use the scissors as a weapon, as when he was little he cut out Cheshire's eyes, and the murder weapon for Alice was a pair of scissors that he had supposedly used, but he has never been seen using them in a way other than to cut up stuffed animals.
- - Chess : Vincent is good at playing chess. He likes to play a game while discussing issues with other people, such as Oscar Bezarius. Oscar himself claimed that he's no match for Glibert's little brother. Also, by using symbolization, you can place that the game of Chess is much like how Vincent thinks, which is more in a strategical way. That's mostly covered up by smiles and acting as if he doesn't exactly know what's going on all the time.
Personality: Vincent is the type of character who is hard to read what he's really thinking. This shrouds him in a lot of mystery and causes him to seem like a suspicious character. Most of the time he covers up how he really acts with smiling and being cheery and overly friendly. Of course, anything that will help Gilbert he'll do, as he always claims to have his brother in mind when he does things. This can lead to a slightly obsessive personality, giving Vincent a brother complex since Gilbert was the only person who accepted him besides Jack, ( but this complex had developed before meeting him ). Though, just because he pretends to be cheery and friendly, he has a serious thought process behind it all.
- - Likes : Gilbert, sleeping, scissors, dolls, and, oddly enough, Break.
- - Dislikes : Carrots and Break.
History: This whole story started one hundred years ago when Vincent and Gilbert were orphans on the street. Since the superstition was a person with red eyes would bring misfortune, Vincent was always known as an outcast, constantly dragging Gilbert down with him since they're brothers. Whenever his eye was revealed, people would attack them ( whether it be verbally or physically, either would happen ), and would continue until Jack Bezarius found the two brothers and took them under his care, the both of them becoming servants to him.
Jack even went so far as to cut his hair that had covered his red eye and stated that he "loves it." This lead to Vincent becoming fond of Jack and even calling him "master" much like his brother did.
Upon meeting the Alice from one hundred years ago when Jack introduced them, he was instantly teased about his red eye which caused Gilbert to pull her hair and Jack to break up the fight. This is when he started to dislike Alice, causing banters back and forth in short times that they saw each other. He was even so annoyed that he began cutting up stuffed animals and, at one point, cut out Cheshire's eyes with a pair of scissors he carried a round with him. Alice had also revealed that Glen was to use Gilbert's body as his new host. That was when Miranda Barma told him of how to open the door to Abyss to save his brother. Doing so lead to the Tragedy of Sabrie, causing Vincent to be a "child of misfortune" like people had predicted from his eye being red.
After appearing in the Abyss and appearing in front of Alice/Alyss ( though he even stated that he knew Alice, yet she didn't look like the one he knew, as her hair was white ) while carrying Gilbert, both blood soaked, he fell to the ground and claimed that Jack was dead and it was all Alice's fault. This lead to Alice/Alyss breaking down and the dimension breaking apart, sending Vincent and Gilbert ninety years into the future where Vincent became adopted by the Nightray house and Gilbert being taken in by the Bezarius.
Also, that event in the Abyss was where he first met Break, who was known as Kevin, but couldn't remember even though "Kevin" remembered clearly when talking briefly with Vincent. Vincent had also asked if he saw a boy with black hair and gold eyes along with a year older to contact the Nightray house.
After Gilbert became an adopted son to the Nightray house, he had soon asked Vincent ( who was elated to have his brother back, and also said it was fine if Gilbert didn't remember ) about Raven. This lead Vincent to showing him where Raven was and spoke of the story.
In the present, Vincent still keeps his obsession with Gilbert and makes everything he does wrapped around his brother's world. He always claims that everything he does is with Gil in mind. He's also the one who had allowed Grim, a problematic chain, to be released so he could kill it so nothing could be found out about the past, leaving him with a valuable excuse to exterminate it. Even though Break knew of this, Vincent gave nothing away to show he had any knowledge of what he was speaking of.
To protect Gilbert's memories so he doesn't have to remember, he even went as far as to kidnap Sharon Rainsworth and give her, along with his servant Echo, poison until Break destroyed the bell that he obtained from Cheshire which concealed the truth of one hundred years ago. Even though he got what he wanted, he tossed the antidote off the balcony, only to have his servant save him.
It's also shown that he has an alliance with the Baskervilles, though he claims that "whether it's Pandora or the Baskervilles, I can still get information from them." This means that he's merely using the Baskervilles, but has a connection to them, as he's the one to call Zwei out from Echo. Along with this, he also feeds Eliot's hatred for the Bezarius by telling him something, yet it's still unknown of what he said.
He is also a murder suspect to Alice's death during the tragedy.
RP Sample: There had been no sign of rain these past few days, causing Vincent to hide away in the Nightray mansion. He had never been one for sunlight, let alone chatty women, who were always out and about during the day. Staying inside had always been the best option for him, always being safe inside his little cove where he felt comfortable, familiar and even accepted. His red eye no longer got picked on, he was loved, but most importantly, he had his beloved brother. Not with him there, precisely, but just knowing he could visit him made him happier than anyone could have guessed.
Blond locks of hair dangled before him as his eyes, one red and one golden, peered down at a stuffed animal in his hand, a small smile stretching across his face. Shifting his hand, he grasped a pair of scissors that sat lonely by his side, his fingers twining themselves into the handles. Bringing it up, he looked at it, smiling a bit more before bringing it to the animal, allowing the sharp edges to slice the fabric apart bit by bit. "My, my, it's such a nice day out," he cooed, his voice full of sleep, his eyes easing to show how tired he had become.
"It would be nice if Gil would come over to visit," he added just as he sliced off the ear and slide the edges through the face, stuffing puffing out from the shallow wounds he was making. "That would only make this day better, wouldn't it?" Allowing his eyes to close, he gave a full smile over to Echo who had been standing there and looking out the window. It wasn't as if he minded if she responded to not, so he went back to cutting at the animal. "We'll just have to see what happens, though. I'm sure brother will come and visit soon," his voice murmured, opening his eyes as he stabbed the fake rabbit multiple times in the stomach.
Eyes drifted over to the window, narrowing to keep the sunlight from blinding him as he set the rabbit down beside him while placing a hand over his mouth, moisture collecting at the corners of his eyes as a yawn escaped with a small squeak. "I think I should take a nap, though. This way I can be prepared for when brother comes to visit," a drowsy voice spoke as the blond haired man laid upon the couch, his feet kicking the rabbit out of the way. Curling up, he let a content smile devour his lips once more, allowing his mind to drift into a land where it was only him and Gilbert and nothing to take him away.
I just wanted to make it decent. c:
